Esco-Bar Sri Lanka - Biodegradable Designer Resort Wear

In a fashion forward world, comfort and classy are what we usually look for in terms of clothing. We don’t just pick outfits off the shelf and hope for the best anymore. We want the best. Owning something that can be sported at any given occasion is always a plus point, whether it be at a family brunch, a wedding or even the hottest party in town. And now you can do so with Esco-Bar’s high quality viscose shirts.

Esco-Bar Sri Lanka was founded by Husband and Wife, Nilukshan and Sandunika in December 2019. A couple of months later, Nuwan joined hands with the couple and came on board to manage and get the business growing. There’s a story behind every brand name, and in this case, Nilukshan’s love for the TV show Narcos came in to play to give the brand a similar vibe.

Nilukshan and Nuwan were just two friends who met through the travel industry and decided to make it work. As the trust and understanding between them came naturally, they made quite the pair. We all have friends we’d like to start a business with. Getting up and personal with the friendly duo, here’s their words of advice in regard to starting a business with a close friend, “Pick your partner carefully - someone who is committed, who’s willing to take risks and will complement or round off the skills you bring to the table.

With all kinds of shirts available in the apparel industry, the market can get quite competitive. However, Esco-Bar stands outs as a brand by committing to quality fabric that evoke a feeling of freedom and comfort. Additionally, they also use biodegradable material in everything produced from their shirts, to their tags, to their packaging.

Their main inspiration behind these viscose shirts, is our tropical island lifestyle which they try so hard to capture and deliver through their products. While Esco Bar shirts can only be bought through their Instagram page (@esco_bar_sl) as of yet, they do plan on expanding and having available options at physical stores soon. These unisex shirts are priced between LKR 2500 – 3000 and are available in all sizes.

Get your hands on these designer shirts and support local businesses. It’s definitely a win-win situation. Happy Styling!
