South African High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Robina P Marks publishes a children’s book on the shared history of Sri Lanka and South Africa

Robina P Marks is a visionary personality with a special interest in reconciliation. Robina’s role as South Africa’s High Commissioner to Sri Lanka has enabled her to further entrench the ties between Sri Lanka and South Africa. Having served her tenure in Sri Lanka, Robina is on the cusp of her departure to a new diplomatic posting. A career diplomat, Robina embraced life in Sri Lanka, actively drawing from its traditions and customs to cuisine and fashion. Of her time in Sri Lanka, she has warm and heartfelt memories and has enjoyed delving into the shared history of both Sri Lanka and South Africa which culminated in the launch of her children’s book, “Tell us our story, Grandma” with accompanying illustrations by the late Sybil Wettasinghe.
