Making life easier; one hack at a time

With everything that’s going on in our lives on the daily, sometimes a simple hack might be just what we need. Here’s a few ways you can save a minute or two.

  1. Instead of crossing out words you don’t want read by someone else, try writing random letters over the original word.

  1. Want to check if your battery is good or bad? Do this. Drop your battery on a table from a height of around 6 inches. If the battery gives one small bounce and falls right over, it’s good. Any more bounces would indicate the battery is either dead or getting there.
  2. Here’s an important hack. To keep your chargers from bending and breaking, use a spring from an old pen to keep the wire intact.

  1. Want to quench that thirst with an ice cool drink? Wrap a wet paper towel around your beverage and pop it in the freezer. Ice cold in less than 15 minutes.
  2. Use a straw to remove the stem from strawberries.

  1. Here’s a much needed kitchen hack. Add 1 teaspoon of baking soda to a pot of boiling eggs to make eggshell peeling easy.
  2. To fix a stuck zip, rub the zipper teeth with a granite pencil for an easy fix
  3. When microwaving frozen or left over pizza, pop in a small amount of water in a glass as well to protect the crust from getting chewy
  4. Rub your blunt razor against an old or unused pair of jeans. This will bring back meaning to, as sharp as a razor!
  5. Wrap banana stems in plastic wrap to ensure they stay fresh over a week or longer.

  1. Use peanut butter to remove any chewing gum from your hair.
  2. Got toddlers ruining your walls with crayon marks? Use a hairdryer to get the stains off.
  3. Ever peeled off a label off a jar before? Frustrating doesn’t begin to describe the feeling. Use a cotton pad with cooking oil and rub the sticky residue and let it sit for a few minutes. It’ll wipe away easily in a few minutes.
