Restaurant Review - Ceylon Tea Cabin

If you are out in the Kandy city after a day of shopping at the Kandy City Center or visiting the sites in the town, the Ceylon Tea Cabin is a clean and affordable place to dine in. This cute little cafe based in the heart of the city might be the cheapest cafe I found in Kandy. The wooden interior in the cafe gives it a nice upcountry feel.

Their basic menu consists of burgers, wraps and sandwiches. But their beverage menu was pretty impressive for Kandy as they served various types of milkshakes and coffees.

I ordered their Tandoori chicken burger and chocolate milkshake. The burger was very nice and was served with a side of large fries. I was caught by surprise when the bill came as it was only Rs.600 for my burger and drink. I thought it was extremely reasonable for a clean and tasty meal in the city.

They have two seating options which gives you the choice of sitting indoor or outdoor. I would recommend this cafe to families, couples, friends or even to dine alone as its simple, clean and affordable.
