Ramp up 2023 was a fashion show organised by the Women’s Chamber of Industry and Commerce in aid of women entrepreneurship develpment programmes for female owned micro and SME business. As an organization, WCIC aims to create awareness and exposure, positioning themselves not only as a serious business chamber but also as a glamorous platform that celebrates the women of our society in their fullest glory. Ramp Up was an exceptional event that brought together professionals from various fields, including doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs, and many more, who graced the runway to support the cause. This event combined the realms of fashion and philanthropy to empower women in business. The event was a unique idea of Nayana Karunaratne, who heads the Capacity Building Pillar of the WCIC. The event consisted of 8 fashion segments from Moose, Benaari, Imara Sarees, Abayas by Fathima Marlin, Dily & Carlo, Hameedias, Aashkii Sarees and Rebel by Ruchira.
